^{^The American Red Cross will offer hemoglobin A1C (A1C) testing, commonly used to screen for prediabetes and diabetes, to all donors who successfully give blood, platelets or plasma March 1-31, 2025. Donors will need to have a successful donation to receive A1C results, because only successful donations are sent to our laboratory for testing. Donors will only receive a test result on their first donation during the testing period. Results will be available in one (1) to two (2) weeks through the Red Cross Blood Donor App or a donor’s account at RedCrossBlood.org. If a donor does not wish to have their donation tested for A1C, they are encouraged to make an appointment before or after testing will be offered in March.}
