The Class of 2021
Aidan Richmond is from the Fort Worth area. She's 19 years old and studying Business Management and Heath Science at Kansas Wesleyan University. She is on the presidential honor roll for the past 2 consecutive semesters and aspires to be an Occupational Therapist. Amidst her studies, Aidan plays varsity golf for KWU. Aidan has a background of teaching children activities from golf to swimming and is experienced in helping a variety of people accomplish their goals. Also, she loves being active and involved in the outdoors whether it's laying on the beach, hiking or golfing with family and friends. She is incredibly thankful for the opportunity to lead students and is devoted to the purpose of helping people around her.
Siena Keck is a transfer sophomore student at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. She loves running track and field at this institution and being an active member on her team. She is currently a Sociology major and intended Environmental Sustainability and Spanish minor. After graduation, she hopes to work in the helping professions and eventually start her own non-profit organization. Siena is from San Clemente, CA and attended San Clemente High School. She loves people and feels so grateful for this opportunity to serve and grow through the American Red Cross Leadership Program and seeks to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Emily Eppert is student athlete who plays volleyball at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne. She is from Lapel, Indiana and her major is Business Management. She plans on graduating with her master’s in management in 3.5 years. Some of her favorite things include the color yellow, gluten free pizza and autumn. Her goals in life include: working for an educational non-profit located in Fort Wayne, Indiana called Junior Achievement, and having a boat! She also dreams of opening a gluten free bakery in Indianapolis one day.
Karen Ramos graduated from high school in 2019 and is currently a sophomore attending William Jessup University in Rocklin, California. She is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and hopes to one day become a criminal attorney. She is from a small town in the central valley by the name of Merced. Karen’s favorite sport is tennis and she plays for her university, which is something she enjoys very much. She loves spending time in school and helping others. Karen feels so blessed to be part of the NAIA and hopes that through this internship she will be able to plant a small seed of community and genuine help in her campus.
Vayda Kozup is 20 years old and was born in Naples, Florida, but she moved around quite a bit before settling in Jefferson, Georgia. She plays soccer at Brewton Parker College as an outside back. Vayda was fortunate enough to be nominated as captain of her high school soccer team by her teammates and is excited about honing her leadership skills with the Red Cross Leadership Program. In her spare time she enjoys drawing, playing pickup soccer with friends, and spending time with her family. Vayda is pursuing a Nursing degree with a minor in Spanish in hopes of becoming a nurse anesthetist. She is looking forward to exploring new opportunities and being a part of a great organization that is so dedicated to helping others.
Tara Sheets grew up in Azle, Texas and is currently a sophomore at Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas. Tara is currently working on a triple-major in Biomedicine, Biology, and Psychology and is a research assistant with the Organic Chemistry department. She is a Presidential Leadership Scholar, a member of the women’s golf team, a student ambassador, Sophomore class president, statistics tutor, and science club member. Tara currently works as a PCA at an assisted living center. She aspires to attend medical school after graduation and specialize in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Lanie Pocock is a sophomore at Indiana University of Kokomo and is a nursing major and an athlete on the cross country and track team. Lanie is from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and grew up as the only girl out of five children. Her four brothers have challenged her in many ways and have made her the person she is today. Lanie is a very extroverted person and enjoys being in the company of her family and friends. Her goal in life is to help as many people as she possibly can and she knows that as a nursing major, she can accomplish that goal. Her favorite things to do in her free time include going on hikes, hand embroidering, running, and drinking any kind of coffee.
Jamarra Williams is a sophomore at Benedict College. Her major is public health. She is a member of the Benedict College Health, Physical Education, and Recreation Club. She enjoys being a servant leader who is results oriented. In addition to being a presidential scholar, she is a peer-tutor and participates in several service-learning projects on and off campus. Her future plans include earning master's degree in epidemiology and becoming an epidemiologist.
Alayna Moricz is a sophomore at Lawrence Technological University, majoring in Architecture and Interior Design. Alayna has been involved in sports her entire life. She is on the dance team at LTU and is so glad she was able to continue dancing after high school. She enjoys being outside, being a shoulder for someone, and volunteering.
Katelyn Felt is from Waukee, Iowa and during high school, she was involved in track, softball, Random Acts of Kindness (RAK), National Honor Society, Honor Roll, National Council of Youth Leadership (NCYL), and Silver Cord. Katelyn is currently a sophomore at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri and she is pursuing a biochemistry degree with a minor in business and a concentration on the honors program. At Culver-Stockton, she participates in softball, Women of Promise, Alpha Pi Science Club, Wildcat Athletic Council (WAC), and Students Organized for Sustainability. She is part of Phi Eta Sigma National Freshman Honor Society, Tri-beta Biology Honor Society, and she has been on the President’s list 3 times. In the future, she aspires to become a pediatric dentist. Katelyn has always had a passion for helping others, and feels as if she is doing what she was born to do when she is helping another person.
Gina Misek is studying Architecture at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois and she is involved in many activities on campus such as track and field, choir, theater, AIGA and AIAS, and she is a student leader on campus as a residence assistant. Gina participates in volunteer work both inside and outside of campus, and she is a regular plasma donor. Gina has a high value of servant leadership and is very passionate about helping others and improving the community.
Jack Brice is from Pleasanton, California where he attended Foothill High School. Jack is currently a sophomore at Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas where he will be majoring in business administration and minoring in sports management. He primarily chose Bethel College because it gives him the perfect opportunity to pursue academics as well as play basketball at the next level. After college, Jack hopes to work in the front office of an NBA team and stay around the game of basketball for years to come.
